Pin-did: Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Part of my diet is to cut out "white foods" ie flour, sugar etc.  But the one white food I can have a lot of is cauliflower.  When I saw this recipe for Cauliflower pizza crust (originally I came across the cauliflower rice recipe) from Eat. Drink. Smile. I had to try it.  It was so good.  My kids loved it too!  I only had a hint of the cauliflower taste in one or two bites, which still tasted good to me.  I will definitely be doing this recipe more often.

My Craft Room!

When designing my craft room I used this picture for our layout and then we adjusted it from there:

Star the wonderful lady at our Ikea helped us pick the right cupboards to get what we needed and my amazing husband went to work changing the electrical, painting and installing cabinets and counters...this is the finished product:

We are adding a clothing bar to the top corner cabinet (on the right) that stretches to the wall for my shops clothing to hang on .
We ran into one hiccup, the four drawer cabinet doesn't come in bead board, which we didn't like.  Ikea suggested we try a cupboard door over the drawers with a special hinge.  Well that didn't work either - drawers can't slide out with a hinge in the way - so my clever husband just attached the door straight onto the bottom drawer and voila:

This is the corner cabinet with lazy susan!

Now to filling it up and decorating - I'm trying to decide between these two pallets:

Hair Style

So I did my hair like this today for church. I had curled my hair on Thursday with my new love, flax seed setting lotion.  Woke up and it was still curly on Friday.  On Saturday I just sprayed it with water so it was damp, and rolled it up in small perm rods to get a tighter curl until it dried - for a retro style I did, and then brushed it out that night and put it in a bun on top of my head.  I woke up for my 9 am church today and just brushed it out and voila, I got this look.  Not bad for 4th day hair...  I also used dry shampoo on Saturday, if you were worried about that.

On another note I've started a weight loss program and lost 4 lbs and 2 1/2" in one week... I know it's not a lot but I'm super excited!  If your interested in what I'm doing check it out here.

Baby gift

I got to new great nephews in two days this week!

Here is what I made for both of them. There are a lot

of easy tutorial's on line for this type of receiving blanket.

(i love these fabs by the way)

when i make burp cloths, i sew them wrong sides together

with a wide zig zag stitch then clip at every "up" of the zig

zag. this gives them the "rag" look after they're washed.

the outfit is from Old Navy. I love new babies....
